New Mayor Lonnie Lee, Hill City Council meet for first time in 2021

(Hill City, MN) — Newly sworn-in Hill City Mayor Lonnie Lee spoke to us following the City of Hill City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 12th from the Hill City Fire Hall.
Mayor Lee first talked about his goals coming back to an office he has previously held.
The Hill City Council did move forward with GPS Data Collection/GIS Mapping of the City’s Sewer and Water systems.
An update on the Quadna Campground provided insight on a utilities hookup.
The Council did approve the hiring of Brandi Caverly as Deputy Clerk with a start date of January 19th and the new City Letterhead was chosen. Mayor Lee says numerous projects for Hill City are getting started.
The Hill City Council did accept a donation from the Hill City Lions Club for $2,000 going towards the electric sign.
The City of Hill City Council will next meet on Tuesday, January 26th at 5pm for their Work Session, followed by their regular meeting at 6pm from the Hill City Fire Hall.
