Hillsboro, ND – The Hillsboro public school District held their regular scheduled monthly meeting Thursday morning. During the meeting the board took care on some new year requirements including the pledging of assets and records disposal. Also during the meeting the board approved the extention of COVID leave through the rest of the school year. Superintendent Paula Suda said the extention will benefit teachers and help keep students safe.

With the counties risk level being downgraded to yellow the board approved allowing more fans into athletic events. Capacity limits have been extended to 50, with students and the public allowed to attend, with visiting fans still being limited to athlete parents, according to Suda.

Also the board approved first reading of some policy changes.

The next school board meeting is scheduled for February 11th in the High school library
