(Minnesota) — The State of Minnesota launched on Tuesday a dashboard to keep track of statewide distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine in an effort to keep Minnesotans informed while shedding light on the growing numbers of vaccines received, distributed, and administered.
The dashboard, put together by Minnesota IT Services and the Minnesota Department of Health, provides a user-friendly view of key vaccination data. Currently, more than 140,000 Minnesotans have received at least one dose of vaccine while over 7,000 people have completed the vaccination series.
Based on the Federal Government’s availability of the vaccine, the supply is limited to States. It takes several days for vaccine doses to be shipped, in some cases the shipping time may take up to a week for the shipment to arrive. As of today, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has promised Minnesota 541,100 doses of vaccine. Of those doses, 329,450 have been shipped to providers along with 100,500 doses to pharmacies participating in the CDC Pharmacy Partnership for vaccination in long-term care settings.
To date, Aitkin County has 385 individuals who have received at least one vaccine dose, while only 21 have completed their vaccine series. According to the vaccine dashboard page, since January 3rd, 184 doses have been administered in the county while 63,727 have been given across the state.
