Hope Page Food Drive
Hope, ND — The Hope-Page FCCLA & FFA are currently accepting Non-perishable food items for their Lead to Feed Food Drive. According to FCCLA Advisor and co-organizer Karlee Feist the goal is to spread awareness of the growing trend of childhood hunger. According to Feeding America 15 million children nationwide suffer from food insecurity, with those numbers continuing to increase due to the ongoing pandemic. Feist says this project is a great way for students to understand the problem at a local level.
Feist added that the response from students involved is very encouraging, with students taking the lead on the project and wanting to get involved any way possible. She hopes that the public will get involved as well and believes this food drive could become an annual event.
Donations are being accepted through Friday, January 22, with drop off locations at the Hope and Page Schools, as well as Mic’s Grocery in Hope and M&M Grocery in Page.
