(Aitkin, MN) — Former Wildlife Management Officer Dave Dickey returned for his monthly update to kick-off the new year with discussion on hunting, permits, Chronic Wasting Disease, and more.

Dickey mentioned the success of the deer harvest from the end of 2020.

As 2021 brings the grey wolf off the Federally Protected Wildlife List, no official word with Minnesota has been said about hunting opportunities compared to neighboring states.

Dickey did also introduce the possibility of the State making crossbow hunting a reality.

Dickey did talk about the differences in the bows and crossbows, from a legal and personal perspective.
