(Aitkin, MN) — Building for the future all while keeping the District going in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic are what the Aitkin School District dealt with in 2020. 

In our Year in Review, we spoke with Aitkin Public Schools Superintendent Dan Stifter spoke of the return of students to the classroom after the holiday break.

As many Districts did encounter at the beginning of the 2020-21 school year, staffing concerns while keeping in mind that students in the building is the safest place for them.

Of other numerous adjustments throughout the year, transportation and school lunches have seen changes to accompany social distancing.

Stifter has been in contact with other school districts within Aitkin County and the challenges of switching learning models.
