(STAPLES, MN) — The Staples-Motley School Board met last week for the last time in 2020; to get an update, we spoke with superintendent Shane Tappe to talk about the latest news with the school as well as to take a look back on the year 2020.

Tappe echoed the sentiment that many would agree with: he is happy to see 2020 come to an end, but also happy with how things were handled at Staples-Motley.

He then updated us on the plan regarding the school’s learning model moving forward.

The board discussed the school’s long term facilities plan as well, a plan that has been in the works for months now. Tappe gave some insight on which stage they had reached in that process.

And with the MSHSL beginning to solidify some dates for possible returns to activities in the spring semester, Tappe discussed what was in the works for Staples-Motley regarding resuming activities.

We thank Shane Tappe for his time. Our full interview with him may be found below.
