Golden Horizons Assisted Living looking at COVID-19 vaccine and keeping residents active

(Aitkin, MN) — The prospect of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine coming to assisted living facilities in Aitkin County in the coming days was our main focus of our conversation with Golden Horizons Assisted Living Facility Director Terri Mathis.
Mathis says that visitors were permitted into the Aitkin facility until the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in the County shut them down.
As Senior Care and Assisted Living Facilities are at the top of the list to receive the vaccine, residents at Golden Horizons have voiced their feelings.
Golden Horizons has been fortunate enough to keep COVID-19 cases low in their building through multiple efforts.
As for keeping the residents active during the time where person-to-person contact is extremely limited, there are multiple factors that have to come into effect for a sense of normalcy.
Terri Mathis also went to talk about what Golden Horizons is still offering for programs, openings for staff and residents, and more with our full conversation. Learn more about Golden Horizons Assisted Living by going to their website or call 218-927-9996.
