(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida spoke before the Board of Commissioners at Tuesday’s meeting to discuss recent troubles at the Enbridge Line 3 Pipeline and access to the building site that has encountered protestors in weeks.

Sheriff Guida recapped the issues at the building site in the Palisade area.

Different options were presented to the Board in an effort to prevent possible traffic fatalities between protestors and line construction workers.

County Engineer John Welle spoke to the Board on the proper placement of signage for the benefit of all traffic through the area.
