City of Jenkins Approves 0% Levy Increase and Comprehensive Plan in December 14 Meeting
(JENKINS, MN) — The city of Jenkins held a regular council meeting on Monday, December 14, so we spoke with Mayor Jon Lubke to get the latest news.
Lubke said one of the major agendas item was the approval of the city’s final COVID resolution, which related to the CARES Act funding they received.
Also on the agenda was the finalization of the 2021 budget, which included a 0% increase in the property tax levy.
The city also approved its comprehensive plan for 2020, which establishes benchmarks for the future.
Lubke also commented on the latest news that new COVID-related relief is now on the way from the state of Minnesota and what it means for the city of Jenkins.
