CRMC’s Stephanie Nelson talks COVID-19 and Emergency Department

(Crosby, MN) — As the hope of a COVID-19 vaccine is on the horizon reaching the United States and even the Brainerd Lakes area, Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Emergency Department Director Stephanie Nelson is keeping her attention focused on the task at hand with helping limit the spread in the community.

Nelson said from the start of the Pandemic, the numbers of emergency patients dropped significantly.

Even as people are concerned about coming to CRMC’s Emergency Department and are worried about being exposed, proper steps are being taken to ensure safety.

And if you do need to come in, CRMC has plans in place.

Nelson talked about how Cold and Flu Season is having difficulty getting off the ground.
