Ada, MN — This Holiday season, the Benedictine Living Community in Ada is encouraging community members to give a gift that will brighten up the spirits of their residents that have been uniquely challenged by the pandemic. They hope you will assist them in rewarding their residents through their Adopt-A Room Program, which will provide each resident with new paint, blinds, head and foot boards, sconces, and nightstand. Wellness Foundation Director Cassie Visser says by contributing to the Adopt-A-Room program, you can make a difference in the lives of their residents.
If you wish to adopt a room, you would be recognized with a plaque outside of that room, which can be also be used as a memorial or dedication. The cost for each room is $1,500, but other gifts are certainly welcomed. So far, BLC-Ada has updated 35 rooms and only has 14 to go to complete the project.
Visser adds that their residents typically face a number of unique challenges, but this year has been extraordinarily hard on them due to the pandemic.
If you are interested in giving, you can do so securely online at www.blcada.org/giving or contact Cassie Visser at 218-784-5656. All contributions are tax deductible.
