Ada, MN — When the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce was looking for a new place to host a visit from Santa this year, the Mike and Angie Nelson yard…aka the Ada Christmas Wonderland…was a natural fit. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who loves Christmas, or at least decorating for Christmas, more than the Nelsons. Mike says the obsession of Christmas decorations was passed down to him from his parents and is now starting to rub off on his kids as well.

And as you might imagine, decorating a quarter city block each year with enough lights that would make even Clark Griswold blush is no easy task. Nelson notes just running wires and extension cords was an entire days’ worth of work.

While Mike wishes things were back to normal, he’s very excited for the opportunity to host a visit from Santa this weekend and hopes people at least drive by and check out the lights.

And an exciting new addition to this Saturday’s Santa Day. Nelson is happy to announce that West Central Ag has donated a pedal cart valued at over $300 to give away to one lucky child if their family brings something to donate to either the food shelf or the Ada Future Leaders.

Santa will be hanging out at the Nelson House, 209 N Jamison Drive in Ada, this Saturday from 4-6pm.
