The Salvation Army has two new captains for this year’s holiday season: Captain’s Jim and Lee Brickson. Cpt. Jim Brickson joined The Morning Show Wednesday to promote the Red Kettle Drive, and shared that the coronavirus pandemic has thrown a wrench in the beginning of the ringing season – both for the drive, and them personally.

The ongoing pandemic has affected both donations, and the Army’s ability to find volunteers.

Though the signature Red Kettles will be featured prominently in several locations, the Salvation Army has adjusted to the times, and added a non-contact way to contribute via QR Codes.

Cpt. Brickson says that this year, possibly more than in year’s past, there is a high level of unmet need.
