Hendrum, MN — The Norman County West School Board held a special meeting on Monday evening in Hendrum to discuss an upcoming auction for architectural materials of the high school as well develop a strategy for negotiating a consolidation agreement with Ada-Borup. The auction appears to be on hold for the time being, however. Norman County West Superintendent Dr. Jim Hess says it appears there was some developments regarding the Halstad Business League and their interest in the property.
And now that the Norman County West and Ada-Borup School Boards have both passed resolutions of intent to enter into a consolidation agreement, the negotiations of the terms of that agreement will begin shortly. Superintendent Hess says on Monday night their board spent some time going over the priorities of the district and strategy moving forward.
Dr. Hess believes the Consolidation Committees from both boards will likely be getting together sometime next week, where they will seek out common ground and starting points for the negotiations.
