(Brainerd, MN) — Central Lakes College and their Cultural Thursday program continues into the month of December with Environmental Studies Instructor Jason Edens on Japanese culture.

The presentation entitled “Beyond the Silk Curtain: How Japan Almost Became My Home” will take place on Thursday, December 3rd from 12-1pm Central.

Jason Edens spent four years in rural Japan as an employee of the Ministry of Education, charged with developing English curriculum for public rural schools and he had the opportunity to visit countless communities and peer behind the silk curtain. Based in Fukushima, Japan, Edens nearly made Japan his permanent home.
