Climax, MN — The Climax-Shelly School District was hoping to return students back to the classrooms this past Monday, but unfortunately, they will have to wait until 2020 is over for that opportunity. Following discussions with their Covid Response Team, the district has decided to continue distance learning until after the Christmas Break on January 4th. While there have been minimal instances of students becoming infected with COVID-19, Climax-Shelly Superintendent Michael Underwood says staffing has continued to be a struggle for the district.
The Climax-Shelly School District began Distance Learning on November 9th. Over the past three weeks, the majority of students have adapted well, but Superintendent Underwood says he really worries about the few that they have lost communication with.
