Crosby City Council passes requests for Ice Fishing Tournament from Monday meeting

(Crosby, MN) — The Crosby City Council considered a handful of Special Event Requests and Resolutions from their regular meeting on Monday.

The Council did approve the League of Minnesota Cities Liability coverage waiver form, noting the City of Crosby does not waive the monetary limits.

Council member Chris brought to the Council discussion on adding an Economic Development Committee. 

The Council did approve the forming of an Economic Development Committee for the City of Crosby, which will be an unpaid position. Approval was given for adopting Assessments for unpaid nuisance charges and unpaid utilities, while the 2021 fee schedule was tabled until the December 14th meeting.

City Administrator Matthew Hill spoke on behalf of the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber of Commerce on a Special Event Request for the Ice Fishing Tournament.

The Request was approved with the Ice Fishing Tournament to take place on February 16th on Serpent Lake. Requests for a Lawful Gambling Permit for the Chamber, in coordination with the Ice Fishing Tournament, and a tree decorating in Memorial Park was also approved.

City Engineer Phil Martin spoke before the Council on payments towards the 2020 City improvements.

The pay request of $5,659.07 was approved by the Council. The Crosby City Council is next scheduled to meet on Tuesday, December 14th.
