Hillsboro, ND — Just like the football and volleyball team, the Hillsboro One Act Play Cast and Crew had to overcome a number of hurdles and obstacles this fall relating to COVID-19. However, they were able to finish up their season strong with a solid runner-up placing at the regionals last week in Larimore. Hillsboro High School Principal Terry Baesler this was one of the strongest finishes for their One Act program in years, and were able to do it despite having to find a new cast member prior to their performance.

Under normal circumstances, the Hillsboro One Act would have qualified for state. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only the top team at regionals advance this year. The original regional competition date was also pushed back a few weeks, which is what Hillsboro Senior Morgan Chandler says was likely the key to their strong showing last week.

Hillsboro nearly claimed the top spot as well. They scored just 1 point shy of First Place. Congrats to the Hillsboro One Act Cast and Crew on a successful performance!
