Ada, MN — With Thanksgiving just a few days away, Norman-Mahnomen Public Health is strongly encouraging community members to please avoid large gatherings over the holiday season and help curb the spread of COVID-19. While it’s not a popular or easy choice for families to make, Public Health Director Sarah Kjono says intermixing households in a close environment makes it much easier for the virus spread.
If you do decide to gather for Thanksgiving, Kjono encourages you to eliminate any high-risk activities and be as safe as possible.
You should also stay home if you are not feeling well, if you are considered a close contact of recent positive case, or if you are awaiting a COVID-19 test result.
