Fertile, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami School District begins a two-week reset and Distance Learning period on Monday (today) as COVID-19 cases continue to surge throughout Polk County. The most recent 14-day positivity rate is currently well above 200 per 10,000 people and is the highest in the state. As of now the goal for the Fertile-Beltrami School is to return to in-person or hybrid learning on December 7th, but a lot factors on the latest data when they get to that point, according to Superintendent Brian Clarke.
The Fertile-Beltrami School High School was hybrid learning prior to the switch and the elementary was full, in-person. Like the high school grade levels, elementary students will also make use of technology for their instruction, but Superintendent Clarke notes they will have much more real time instruction compared to this spring’s distance learning.
And as their distance learning instruction gets underway this week, Clarke strongly encourages parents and students that have questions or need help to contact the school.
