Aitkin School Board meeting from November 16th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin Public School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday and reviewed changes to school activity related to COVID-19 from the High School Media Center.
The Board did approve the 2nd Readings of Policies including the School District Curriculum and Instruction Goals, Organization of School Calendar and School Day, Curriculum Development, and Religion, while pulling Instructional Curriculum pending further clarification.
Approval was also given for Extra-Curricular Assignments for current Activities and Winter Athletics, the 2020-21 Bus Driver Seniority List, Aitkin Educational Support Staff Seniority List, Custodian & Cleaner Seniority List, and Driver Competencies.
Superintendent Dan Stifter brought to the Board the 2020-21 E-Learning Plan that is required by the Minnesota Department of Education.
Stifter also discussed the effects of 2020-21 Enrollment numbers on the decline.
Future meetings may also be dedicated to looking at District finances.
Stifter also presented to the Board on modifying the students schedule through the end of the school year.
The Aitkin Public School Board will be holding a Work Session meeting Monday, November 30th at 7pm with their next regular meeting on Monday, December 21st at 7pm.
