St. Paul, MN — Minnesota Governor Tim Walz held a press conference on Monday afternoon pleading with Minnesotans to band together and do their part to keep their health care system from being overran as COVID-19 continues to spread rapidly across the state. While there is a vaccine on the horizon, it is months away from being accessible to the general public. Governor Walz says with other states struggling as well, there is no additional help coming for our nurses and doctors fighting on the frontlines other than our own personal behavior.
Walz added that we are lucky to have one of the best health cares industries in the nation, because its about to be put to the test.
Governor Walz hinted last week that further business restrictions could be on the horizon and confirmed that again on Monday afternoon, speaking specifically to places of gathering such as bars and restaurants. Walz was addiment that every decision they are making is data driven.
Minnesota Department of Health is also now asking Minnesotans to only celebrate Thanksgiving with those in their immediate household.
