Hendrum, MN — The Norman County West School is transitioning from an in-person learning model to a hybrid learning model, but for all-intensive purposes, very little will change from their current educational model. Because of their available space, all students will continue with in-person education, but the main difference in the learning models is an increased emphasis on social distancing, according to Elementary Principal Deanne Flom.
The current 14-day case rate for Norman County is 108.25, a more than 30 point jump from a week ago and more than double the case rate from two weeks ago. According to the Minnesota Department of Health, the communities that make up the Norman County West School District, Hendrum, Halstad, and Perley, have seen an increase of 9 new COVID cases since last Thursday.
