4-H Offering Virtual Agricultural & Horticultural Opportunities
4-H’ers who are interested in agriculture and farming practices across the world have the opportunity to participate in the Explorers in Ag Program. The exploration will take place virtually via Zoom on November 23rd and March 8th. From India to Costa Rica, Norman County 4-H Coordinator Linda Houglum says this a great opportunity for youth to learn more about agriculture worldwide.
The cost is $20. Check with your county Extension Office for possible scholarships or financial assistance.
Registration can be completed online between Nov. 9-17. Limited to 50 participants.
4-H’ers interested in agriculture and horticulture in 4-H are also encouraged to participate in the 4-H Ag and Hort Afternoon Adventures! That too takes place via Zoom, but also includes weekly challenges via email. Houglum talks more about this great afterschool program for future gardeners.
