Ada, MN — Over the summer the City of Ada completed close to $2 million worth of infrastructure upgrades throughout the city, including the Park Street Paving in the North Industrial Park and the water tower and lift station rehabilitation project. While the water tower project is complete, the lift stations still have some minor work to be completed likely in the spring of 2021. Those two projects, which costs the city around $1.3 million, are just the first phase of their water and sewer rehabilitation needs. While on the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program recently, City of Ada Public Works Director Brian Rasmussen noted that Phase 2 involves replacing or repairing water and sewer pipes and addressing some of the problem areas around town.

Rasmussen notes that it’s unlikely that those projects will take place in 2021, but it depends on the city’s budget and project costs.

He also reminds Ada residents that with winter approaching, they can now turn the sump pumps to discharge inside.
