Polk County, MN — Covid-19 cases are on a rapid rise not only in Minnesota but a good portion of the midwest which is the opposite of how the early part of the pandemic occurred with coastal areas of the U.S. being hit the hardest. Now our local communities are feeling the effects as we near the holidays and Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman says the county has now become a hot spot for covid-19 cases.

Deer hunting season is upon us as everyone knows and safety of course is always the number one prioity. But Tadman says the biggest complaint the Sheriff’s Office receives are trespassing complaints.

Scams never seem to go away and as of late there is a scam that has been going through our local community. Sheriff Tadman explains.

Tadman also adds when it comes to scams, if you receive something suspicious ask a family member or someone you know if they have received the same thing.
