Deerwood City Council approves Infrastructure Project items at November 2nd meeting

(Deerwood, MN) — The Deerwood City Council held their regular meeting on Monday to move action items on the Infrastructure Project and other City Improvements from the Deerwood City Council Chambers.
Deerwood Mayor Michael Aulie, recently re-elected to another term, went into detail on the Public Hearing held on the Final Assessment that drew comments from the Public.
Updates on the Infrastructure Project included recent road work in preparation for the winter.
The Council approved Contract Payment Authorizations for Street & Utility Improvements, and New Water Tower and Well totaling $499,000. A resolution for Adopting Assessment was also approved while discussion was held on deferring payments for assessments.
A Reimbursement Request on behalf of the City of Deerwood from the USDA Grant in the amount of $264,000 dollars was approved for the Infrastructure Project. The Council also established the meeting to Canvass Election Results for Thursday, November 12th at 10am. Another resolution and a donation request were also heard.
The Deerwood City Council is next scheduled to meet on Monday, December 7th at 6pm from the Deerwood City Council Chambers.
