Brainerd Family YMCA Finishes Successful Partnership with Five Days of Action
This past week, the Brainerd Family YMCA teamed up with “Five Days of Action,” an initiative to raise awareness for child sex abuse. We spoke with Laura Marsolek, Megan Balach, and Shane Riffle to get the rundown of how the partnership worked.
Marsolek began by explaining the premise of Five Days of Action.
Marsolek and Riffle then explained what exactly the Brainerd Family YMCA’s role was and how they promoted Five Days of Action.
For specific things Five Days of Action seeks to highlight, Marsolek and Balach told us about how the initiative attempts to preach online safety among other things, which has become all the more important during the pandemic.
When asked about how they felt this week went and whether or not another partnership with Five Days of Action could take place in future years, Marsolek, Balach, and Riffle all responded with resounding enthusiasm.
We thank the folks from the YMCA for their time. The Brainerd Family YMCA’s website can be accessed at http://www.brainerdlakesymca.org/ and the Five Days of Action website can be found at https://www.fivedaysofaction.org/. Our full interview with Marsolek, Balach, and Riffle can be found below.
