Superintendent Laine Larson Discusses Change in Brainerd High School and Middle School Learning Model
By: Ben Aberg firstname.lastname@example.org (10/30/20)
Following Thursday’s announcement of the switch to distance learning for grades 5-12 in Brainerd Public Schools, we reached out to Superintendent Laine Larson. Superintendent Larson first discussed the work done to prepare for all three types of learning models.
Larson dove into what went into making decisions as we’ve gone along this year, and now what went into the decision to change to distance learning for middle and high school students.
Superintendent Larson gave us the rundown of plans for students and teachers in preparation for the change on November 5th.
No one can know a timeframe, but what will things need to look like to get back to the hybrid learning model?
In answer to one question on many people’s minds…
With the different learning models prepared for, does it seem students and teachers are prepared with the technology needed?
We thank Superintendent Larson for her time. The full interview can be found below, and more details within her letter sent yesterday are available here.
