Pine River-Backus Schools Superintendent Update on COVID-19 Situation

With the announcement coming this week that Pine River-Backus Schools would be moving to all distance learning for the foreseeable future, we spoke with superintendent Jonathan Clark to get his word on what’s going on.

Clark said the plan is for the middle and high schools to stay in distance learning until November 16 due to a spike in cases observed at the school. Pre-K and elementary school levels have not been affected.

At this stage, Clark said all contact tracing has been conducted and all relevant parties have been notified.

If and when the middle and high schools return on November 16, Clark said the plan is to go back to the hybrid model of learning.
