Deadline for 2nd Round of CARES Act Grants for Crow Wing County is today

(Crow Wing County, MN) — Crow Wing County approved a second round of CARES Act relief grants to local businesses and nonprofit entities after voting unanimously to expand eligibility at the October 13th Board Meeting.
The first round of CARES grants included 182 small business applications were approved totaling more than $1.7 million. 63 local nonprofit applications were also approved totaling almost $600,000. Funds for the second round total about $2.5 million, with $2 million to be directed toward small businesses and $560,000 for nonprofits.
Businesses and nonprofits can apply for an emergency grant up to $10,000 based on economic hardship from COVID-19. For the second round of grants, no employee count limit applies to allow businesses of any size to meet all eligibility requirements.

The Crow Wing County Board will hold a Special County Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 3rd at 9am, to approve the Phase 2 business and nonprofit award recommendations. County Commissioners will also be considering the applications for daycare cost reimbursement and local school reimbursement expenses.
