Staples-Motley School Update with Superintendent Shane Tappe
Staples-Motley held a school board meeting on Monday, October 19, so we spoke with superintendent Shane Tappe to get the latest from him.
Tappe said the main focus of the meeting was the topic of the school’s partnership with ICS to formulate a long-term facilities plan.
Regarding the current stage of the plan, Tappe said it is still early in the communication process, given the inability to gather and discuss in large groups at this time due to COVID-19.
On the topic of COVID, Tappe mentioned that the school is currently in a hybrid model given the statewide case numbers, but he expressed satisfaction overall.
Finally, Tappe acknowledged that October is National Principal’s Month and wanted to give a shout-out to the work the Staples-Motley principals have put in this school year.
