McGregor School Board accept Nexus contract, looking at new website at regular meeting

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor School Board met Monday night to confirm dates of Conferences, establish polling places, and personnel items.

The Board approved the 2nd Reading of Policy 704, Development & Maintenance of An Inventory of Fixed Assets & A Fixed Asset Accounting System, and donations totaling $2,508.82 to the District.

Rob Brown of Nexus spoke before Board members on a contract to initiate the beginning of the District’s Referendum.

The contract was accepted by the Board. Superintendent Brad Johnson also brought forth changes to Conferences that conflict with fall sports.

The resolution was passed with dates to be determined after discussion with Superintendent Johnson and Activities Director Bob Staska. Retirements of Marvin Kiley and Anita Jackson, establishing combined polling places for multiple precincts during school district elections were also accepted by the Board. Maternity leave for Kelsey Tessier and hiring Lucas Hauser as a route bus driver were also approved by the Board. 

Superintendent Johnson also discussed with the Board of introducing e-learning days.

More discussion took place on the school website update.

The Board set the Finance Committee meeting for December 8th at 4pm. The McGregor School Board will be holding their next regular meeting on November 16th at 6pm.
