Norman County East School Board News & Notes from October 19th Meeting

Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, October 19th. At the meeting, board member and Public Health Director Sarah Kjono reported on the latest county coronavirus data. COVID cases are on the rise locally and there has even been a confirmed case in the school. Norman County East Superintendent Rob Nudell says the district is doing the best they can to eliminate the spread.
Superintendent Nudell also reported to the board on Monday that with more parents picking up their children at the end of the day, its caused some congestion in the loading areas, but they’ve made some adjustments to fix those problems.
And the board approved a contract with the Family Achievement Center to provide Speech services for the district.
The Norman County East School Board also approved hiring Rosie Cunningham and Tina Visser as paraprofessionals, Tammy Lindell as the FBCLA Advisor, and Avery Thompson as a volunteer boys basketball coach.
