Jenkins Mayor Talks Virtual Meetings, COVID money from October 13 Council Meeting
The city of Jenkins held its first regular council meeting of the month on Tuesday, October 13, and we spoke with Mayor Jon Lubke about the various items that were discussed.
Lubke said the meeting was short, and not much was discussed. Most of the meeting was spent ironing out logistics for virtual meetings, which the city continues to improve upon throughout the pandemic to give citizens an opportunity to join and stay informed.
Another item of note was the topic of the COVID-19 funding the city got from the CARES Act, of which some still remains. Lubke said that the city has until November 15 to figure out what to do with the money left over.
We thank Mayor Lubke for his time. The city of Jenkins will hold its next regular meeting on October 28. You may listen to our full interview with Lubke here:
