Twin Valley, MN — The Twin Valley City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, October 12th. At the meeting, the council discussed CARES funding disbursements, where they approved $14,000 in small business recovery grants. Twin Valley Mayor Ben Fall says they had seven applicants come forward with applications.

The City of Twin Valley still has several thousand dollars of CARES funding available, which must be spent by mid-November. Mayor Fall says they hope to be able use most of those funds internally to help cover city expenses related to COVID as well donate it to other needs in the community.

And the next few months are typically a busy time for city’s municipal liquor store, but with the coronavirus still a concern, Mayor Fall notes they discussed some ways to possibly cut down on some of the potentially large crowds.

The Twin Valley City Council also accepted a donation of $220 from Crafts by Ashlynn towards the police department and approved a building permit.
