Salvation Army gearing up for Holiday campaigns
With COVID-19 affecting so many people in the region, Captain Jeff Curran from the Brainerd Lakes Salvation Army joined us as they are already gearing up for the Red Kettle and Angel Tree campaigns for the holidays.
Captain Curran first updates us on what’s been happening at the Salvation Army over the last couple months.
Captain Curran reminds us that the Salvation Army is more than just the thrift store and food shelf, providing assistance for all aspects of one’s life.
The Red Kettle Campaign is by far the biggest fundraising campaign for the Salvation Army, and the Brainerd Lakes chapter is ready to go.
Captain Curran explains the monumental difference in donations when a kettle is manned.
Another way to help those in need for the holiday season is by utilizing the Salvation Army’s ‘Angel Tree’. Curran explains how that’s expanding this year for our area, and the theme for this year’s overall campaign for the holidays.
Captain Curran says they are very excited as the Brainerd Lakes area has always shown tremendous generosity, and they hope this year will be the best yet. You can help the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign by signing up at registertoring.com, or call the Brainerd Lakes Salvation Army at 218-829-1120. The Brainerd Salvation Army serves those in need throughout Crow Wing County. We thank Captain Curran for his time and encourage everyone to give this holiday season.
